Bridgette Wilson was born on the 25th September 1973 in Gold Beach, Oregon. Bridgette's sister Tracey was a child actor, making her debut in the Daniel Petrie's 1980 movie Resurrection.
In 1990, Bridgette won the model contest, Miss Teen America. After her obligations as contest winner, she took acting classes in Los Angeles and auditioned for acting roles. She got roles in the TV shows sitcom Saved by the Bell and the daytime soap Santa Barbara.
In 1993, Wilson made her movie debut in 1993's Last Action Hero, starring alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, doing all her own stunts as well. Wilson's first leading role came in Adam Sandler's Billy Madison playing Veronica Vaughan. Wilson took on more serious roles in the Nixon (1995), Sweet Evil (1996) and Unhook the Stars (1996). Wilson also played Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat (1995), getting the role only after Cameron Diaz injured her wrist and could play the part.
Bridgette Wilson has also written and performed two of her own music albums. I Only Want To Be With You (1994) and Gimme a Kiss (1996), which was primarily released for Japan and went gold there.
In September 2000 Bridgette Wilson married the tennis ace Pete Sampras, and is now known as Bridgette Wilson-Sampras. The marriage has produced two sons, Christian Charles born on the 21st November, 2002 and Ryan Nickolaos born on July 29, 2005.
